So don't let that deter you.

Before we get started here are some fun facts about YouTube:

How Can these YouTube Channel Ideas Make You Money?

There’s no barrier to entry to start a YouTube channel. It’s an investment of your time, your most valuable resource.  Was it worth it for him?  Absolutely.  Now he’s has the highest subscriber count of anyone on YouTube.

Software Tutorials

Passionate about software? Don’t want to put your face on video?  No problem!  Go faceless with screen shares and hit record and start talking.  There are countless software platforms people need help with.  Whether it’s to show how to use Trello for a remote team or a hack in Google calendar, at any given time, someone has a question about how to use a software you probably already use.  Share your knowledge, use a screen sharing platform like Loom and explain how to do something.  Your audience will thank you!

Vlogging

There’s been an explosion of vlogging, a blend of video and blogging, on YouTubes since it’s inception.  Whether it’s talking to the camera about your life (AKA Day in My Life vlogs), what you do for a living or how to do something like a hobby, the sky’s the limit for YouTube vlogging content. Other ideas for YouTube channels include talking about your passions like technology, cleaning, raising kids, van life, budget or fitness journeys, there’s no limit to what you can find on YouTube.  There are vloggers in every niche who build audiences and followings who are able to monetize their content over time.  Remember, it can take upwards of fifty to sixty YouTube video uploads to start seeing traction, so don’t give up.

Fitness Training

Fitness on YouTube is massive. Creators are growing their channels by leaps and bounds and there’s something for everyone.  Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or are maintaining your goal weight, there’s literally a type of fitness or movement that will suit anybody of all shapes and sizes, ages or fitness levels.

Home workouts, weight lifting and strength training, yoga of all varieties like yin, Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, body weight workouts, dance workouts.  Large equipment, no equipment.  Slow, methodical workouts, fast and fun workouts. Short workouts, hours long workouts. Anything you can think of has probably already been uploaded to YouTube.  But it also provides an opportunity for users to pick and choose what works best for them and try a ton of different types of fitness before committing to anything.
